A bust is generally recognised as an armless and headless dummy, whose base extends to just below the hip. A torso would include the tops of both legs and possibly the arms. Use a bust mannequin for dresses, jackets, suits and tops. These work really well with all kinds of fashions due to their offering of either a vintage style - popular with high quality clothing and theatrical themes - or a modern contemporary effect whilst using a mix of metal and fabric. Busts are usually good for displaying a wide range of clothing including trousers. (One simply threads the pole of the bust into one trouser leg.) If it is lingerie you are looking to display, a torso will be better as they can easily wear briefs or corsets.

Depending on your display or event, you will probably wish to choose the wooden vintage style or the torso on a metal stand. For the more high profile event, our Patina V range will suit - and for perhaps the student showing their end of year work - the budget female bust will do an excellent job.
